summer on the edge... "I am very excited about the stories that will be playing out over the course of the next few months," says series head writer Josh Hawkins. Big things are slated to happen in River's Edge as the summer heats begin to rise. Breaking with tradition of the original run an "arc" will now consist of twenty-five episodes as opposed to the twenty in years past. "There was just so much story that it couldn't be fit into just twenty episodes," Hawkins shares. "Coming up is two potential weddings, a fashion show and the last episode of the season..." he teases, "I'm thrilled with seeing where that story will go in the next arc."

Hell hath no fury like Pamela Bradshaw McCarty scorned! This summer Pamela catches onto what readers have known for months - her husband, Travis is having an affair. "This story really throws back to the Andrew/Natasha/Valerie affair from the beginning," says Hawkins. "Pamela reverts back to the person she truly was nine years ago and that's not good for Travis or his mistress Rhonda." The story takes a turn as Rhonda plays a huge role in unearthing Pamela's best kept secret to date!

Audrey prepares to lose the man she loves - for the second time as Nicholas and Natasha's wedding grows closer. "It's a very sweet and loving moment," sighs Hawkins. But in typical fashion there is drama brewing as Audrey's sister is snooping around their mother's Timbercrest mansion for something she can use against her sister. "Patricia strikes gold!" Hawkins confirms. The King Fashion family will celebrate Audrey's fortieth in conjuction with the Empire State of Mind fashion show. "Her life is turned upside down, complete with a potential new love interest in the form of "Sex and the City 2" star Max Ryan."

The Bradshaw Corporation has been under heavy scrutiny with the economical downfall and the suicide of one of their prominent members of the Board of Directors. "BC is one of the things that I haven't tackled heavily throughout the series so I wanted to explore that avenue." Jodi is asked to take more of an interest in the company at the urging of her father. Andrew goes in search of new CFO, he has no idea that he's opening Pandora's box! "Jacquelyn Walsh will be a new character that we'll meet later on in the summer and she has not only ties to Phillip but to two characters in River's Edge," smiles Hawkins. "This story will encompass the next arc."
"Russell and Sabrina's wedding is the center event for the finale but if we actually make it there will be the question," teases the scribe. Russell's daughter Madison is hellbent on this wedding not happening - she views Sabrina as a gold digging tramp. While Sabrina has faced many like Madison she really gets to her. "At the end of the day Sabrina truly loves Russell." To that end Madison's tactics might just push Sabrina to far. "This little Madison is a hell raiser, she's really a mini/vintage Sabrina," laughs Hawkins, "and she has an agenda." However, whether Sabrina marries Russell is up to her. But will a close moment with her ex-husband send her running back to his married arms?

Audrey King Pierce For years Audrey has set back and watched passively as Nicholas ran her beloved father's company but all that changes this summer. "Audrey stands on the verge of really losing everything: Nicholas and the fashion house if the new line isn't successful," states Hawkins. That's where sister Patricia arrives. "Her sister sets off a bomb that rocks Nicholas, Audrey and the fashion community." An emotional blast isn't the only thing in store for this iconic fashion diva - viewers will learn some backstory about her early relationship with Nicholas and a blast from the past rocks her world.
Andrew Bradshaw Andrew begins to slowly ascend to his once leading male character status this summer as he works to save his struggling marriage to Sharon and takes a more active role at BC. "Andrew is one of two men whom I consider to be my outstanding male characters and he deserves to be in that spot," says Hawkins. To that end Andrew works to secure Jodi's place at the BC table and goes on a search for a new CFO with Sabrina. It's that trip that opens up old memories for him. "Fans of the Andrew and Sabrina pairing should definitely invest in Andrew's storyline because there's more to come.
Madison Banning A more capable actress representing the role, Madison Banning the youngest child of Russell & Felicia Banning is prepared to not only do battle with her future step-mother Sabrina, but secure her place among the River's Edge elite. "Readers haven't seen anyone like Madison since the arrival of another brown-eyed vixen named Sabrina," smiles Hawkins. "She's bringing the drama this summer and she won't stop until she gets what she wants." Madison clearly has issues with Sabrina and clearly has no idea who she is going up against. "She's not going away quietly into the night by any means."
